Dolan Capital Management has been registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission as an investment advisor since 1985. The two portfolio managers, John Dolan and Brian Schaefer have been professionally involved in the investment business for over sixty (combined) years. (For backgrounds, see Consulting). Dolan Capital Management uses combinations of exchange traded funds (ETF) and individual securities to achieve our client's growth objectives. Additionally, if circumstances are such that we are concerned about near term performance of a sector, we can efficiently hedge our portfolios in order to reduce risk without selling the position. Most ETFs have listed options that are very liquid and allow for easy hedging. Using an index ETF allows us to examine the historical and ongoing fundamentals, and to make value judgments given the fact that earnings, dividends, cashflow and balance sheet data is usually available for the funds.
